A two-year-old child died in a drowning incident over the weekend in Boynton Beach's Stonehaven community. According to CBS12, the Boynton Beach Police Department responded to a call around 4:30 p.m. yesterday regarding a possible drowning at a residence on the 1700 block of Stonehaven Drive.
The child was found in a lake behind a home and was taken to a local hospital. WPBF reports that the child was pronounced dead around 5 p.m.
Authorities have not released the child’s identity, and the incident remains under investigation. The Boynton Beach Police Department has not provided further comments but is continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
