
Community concerns have risen following the disappearance of Jerome Purdis, a 26-year-old man from the Englewood community. The Chicago Police Department has classified Purdis as an endangered missing person since he went missing last Sunday.
Standing 5'6" tall and weighing 160 lbs, he has brown eyes, black hair, and is identifiable by his long dreadlocks, mustache, and beard, as detailed by the CPD. Last seen, he was wearing a blue sweater with the "GAP" logo, black shorts, and red & black shoes.
According to the Chicago Police Department, family members have reported that it's not uncommon for him to wander. Community members who might have seen Purdis or have any information are being urged to promptly contact Area One SVU Detectives or to call 911 if they have any information that could lead to safely locating him.
