A Chicago police officer has found himself on the wrong side of the law after being arrested at a Florida resort for allegedly pushing a security guard and using a racial slur. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described the scenario, saying Ocasio was with a group of people obstructing a road with a golf cart when a security guard requested they move it. In response, Ocasio is accused of having "cussed the security guard, used a racial slur – that's right – and then pushed the security guard," CBS News Chicago reported. Additionally, Judd stated that Ocasio claimed to be a Miami police officer during the altercation.
According to FOX 35 Orlando, when deputies located Ocasio in his hotel room, he initially refused to come out, questioning, "Who the **** is the Polk County Sheriff's Office?" After eventually being coaxed out of his room, the security guard identified him as the assailant. Ocasio, who joined the Chicago Police Department in August 2023, has since been relieved of his police powers and assigned to desk duty.
