Residents in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Chicago are on alert after a recent incident involving a shooting. A community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department reports that four male suspects, described as Hispanic and between the ages of 15 to 17, were involved in an incident on the 900 block of W. Waveland on May 15, at approximately 6:58 p.m. During the event, a 26-year-old male was shot in the arm.
The police have released images of the subjects in the hopes that the public can assist in their identification. The individuals have varied heights and weights, and the authorities are urging community members to remain vigilant. The alert emphasizes, "Always be aware of your surroundings," and instructs never to pursue a fleeing assailant, but instead to "immediately dial 9-1-1 and remain on the scene when possible."
While investigations are ongoing, Area Three Detectives are leading the efforts. Authorities are asking for any information regarding the suspects or the incident. Tips recalling "any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc.)" could be essential in identifying the perpetrators, the Chicago Police Department noted.
