A juvenile, who was the victim of gunshots fired last night, has died from his injuries. Authorities from the Clarksville Police Department were first alerted to the gun violence at approximately 9:10 PM on the night of the fair, when off-duty officers reported gunshots. They immediately found a black male with a chest wound, promptly hospitalized at Tennova Healthcare. The victim's condition was uncertain until it culminated in fatality.
Witnesses describe a group of about five to six black males fleeing the scene, suggestive of a confrontation cut short by resolute feet striking pavement toward Hazelwood Road.
