Following a felony shoplifting incident at a Sam’s Club in Clarksville, Tennessee, local police have made progress thanks to the community's assistance. On May 15, surveillance captured images of two individuals stealing goods totaling around $1,600 and departing in a white 2020 Nissan Armada or similar vehicle.
In an ongoing effort to apprehend those responsible, the Clarksville Police Department (CPD) has announced the arrest of 42-year-old Terrance Johnson from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. According to WSMV, Johnson was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on May 15. Despite the arrest, the second suspect, 38-year-old Tiffany Harris, remains at large.
The arrest came as a direct result of community engagement. "Thanks to tips received from the community," the CPD stated in a social media post, as reported on Facebook, the detectives were able to identify and arrest Johnson. Authorities are still seeking information about Harris and have urged anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to contact 911.
Authorities have also charged Harris with theft in connection the May incident. "Detectives have also charged 38-year-old Tiffany Harris with theft," mentioned Clarksville Online, indicating that though a warrant has been issued, it has not yet been served.
