In a late-night law enforcement operation last week, Daly City police officers conducted a routine vehicle check, which resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal firearms and drugs. The Daly City Police Department, through a social media post, confirmed the incident involving a 44-year-old San Francisco resident and a 37-year-old Daly City woman with a history of probation.
The encounter began on Alpine Ave. and Southgate Ave. in Daly City when officers checked on an occupied vehicle at approximately 1:50 AM last Wednesday. The interaction led to the arrest of the driver for various drug-related offenses. Adding to the drama, a Daly City woman, present during the incident, left the scene ostensibly under the guise of innocence. Upon returning for a shift on the subsequent evening, officers decided to conduct a probation search on her residence, working on a tip that she was amenable to such scrutiny.
Daly City police later revealed that they struck illicit pay-dirt: an unregistered AR-style rifle paired with a suppressor, high-capacity magazines armed with live rounds, and an unspecified amount of controlled substances. The cache, discovered in the living quarters of the female subject, resulted in her immediate arrest and booking on serious weapons and drug charges. The details of the case, including the seizure of the unregistered firepower and the narcotics, were detailed in a Facebook post by the Daly City Police Department.
