The Davie Police Department is actively searching for Hunter Raymond Gutierrez, a 30-year-old man last seen at his residence in Davie. Gutierrez was reported missing early Sunday morning after leaving his home located in the 13800 block of Southwest 39th Street. The details of the case were reported by Local 10, noting the man had left on foot without taking his personal belongings, including his wallet and cellphone.
Authorities are concerned due to Gutierrez's history with mental health issues, including a diagnosis of depression. According to police statements obtained by WSVN, there's an added urgency to find him because he has previously tried to hurt himself. The Davie Police have thus classified him as a “missing endangered person.”
At the time of his disappearance, Gutierrez was last seen wearing red shorts and a gray T-shirt. The discrepancy in color of the shorts noted in reports—dark colored in one and red in the other—has been acknowledged, but has not been clarified by authorities as of yet.
The public has been asked to join the effort and to actively keep an eye out for Gutierrez. Anyone who might have seen him or has information on his whereabouts is urged to make contact with Detective B. Byrne by calling (954) 693-8096 or via email at [email protected]. In addition to the police efforts, Local 10 reminds those facing mental health challenges or thoughts of self-harm that the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7, alongside 211 services in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, providing necessary support to those in need during critical times.
