An early morning blaze in Argyle was swiftly brought under control by local fire departments. The dispatch, which came at around 9:15 am, led crews to a structure fire in the 600 Block of Woods Drive. Upon their arrival, firefighters faced a detached garage engulfed in heavy fire and smoke.
Despite encountering a large header en route, first responders were quick to engage with the inferno. They initiated a full-scale fire attack, rolling out multiple hand lines to beat back the flames that had fully taken hold of the structure. According to the Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 & 2, they eventually had to switch to a defensive strategy as the situation intensified.
Challenges continued to present themselves, notably when the firefighters encountered solar panels covering one side of the roof. This obstacle contributed to a partial roof collapse during the firefighting efforts. By 10:00 am, however, the fire was reported to be under control, and All American Towing & Recovery was called to the scene to assist in accessing and extinguishing remaining hot spots.
No injuries were reported in the conflagration that rendered the garage shop unusable. "There were no occupants of the structure and a pet rabbit was rescued," revealed the Denton County Emergency Services post. The Denton County Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating to determine precisely what sparked the fire. By 2:00 pm, response units were able to fully clear the scene, leaving behind a semblance of normalcy.
