Remarkably, the origin of such a vast and destructive wildfire was traced back to an incident over the weekend at a gun range in Utah County. A target practice session went awry, sparking a 15-acre fire that spiraled into the current inferno. Emphasizing the precariousness of the dry conditions in the region and the ease with which wildfires can be ignited, "Don't shoot into dry vegetation. It just takes that one little spark to have a catastrophic wildfire," said Guild, highlighted by FOX 13.
