The East Boston community marked Father’s Day with a gathering that included local law enforcement. Officers from Boston Police District A-7, along with Captain Dean Bickerton, joined residents at the East Boston Senior Center for a celebration, according to a news release from the Boston Police Department.
The event began with breakfast and included a horse and carriage parade at Constitution Beach, followed by live jazz music and lunch. Officers participated in the day’s activities alongside community members.
The event provided an opportunity for residents and law enforcement to interact outside of enforcement settings. The Boston Police Department stated, "We’re grateful for opportunities to celebrate with those we serve! Hope all the Dads out there enjoyed Father’s Day!"
