The culinary landscape of South Florida just became richer with a taste of Italy as Eataly opened its doors at the Aventura Mall. This 30,000 square-foot marketplace is the beloved Italian brand's first foray into the Florida market, offering not just food, but a full-on Italian experience. As Local 10 described, “It’s part grocery store, part food hall, and part culinary experience.”

The space features two sit-down restaurants, where diners can enjoy Neapolitan-style pizza and pasta or watch pasta makers at work. To accommodate the various appetites and time constraints of mall-goers, visitors can also choose from five quick-service counters. According to the Miami New Times, these counters offer Italian staples from coffee to Roman-style pizza, all ready to eat on the move. "Italy is really an entertainment where everything rotates around the amazing ingredient, amazing vendor," Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America, told Local 10.

Eataly's market spans several aisles, offering a wide selection of Italian imports and in-house products. From everyday pantry staples to specialty items like pistachio spread, the grocery section delivers an authentic taste of Italy. Fresh pasta is made on-site daily. A robust wine store at Eataly boasts bottles from every Italian region, including a temperature-controlled Riserva room for the more discerning aficionado. Miami New Times reports that this section features everything from table wines to rare vintages that are reportedly unavailable anywhere else in South Florida.

Adhering to Eataly's philosophy of combining eating with education, the marketplace has established a dedicated cooking school. It offers hands-on workshops and regular classes for those looking to fine-tune their Italian cooking chops. In celebration of their grand opening, Eataly has commenced a ten-day free event bonanza, as reported by Local 10, featuring everything from wine tastings and cooking classes to producer demonstrations.
