A Franklin man has died from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash that occurred last weekend. The Franklin Police Department identified the victim as 42-year-old Cody Joss, who was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday, just before 4:30 p.m. on Noah Drive, according to a report from WSMV.
After the van flipped onto its side, first responders had to extricate Joss from the wreckage. He was quickly taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. It has been confirmed that he died at the hospital yesterday, Williamson Source reported. Complicating the investigation further, authorities have yet to release additional details surrounding the causal factors of the crash.
An aspect often overlooked in such tragedies, a dog also accompanied Joss in the van and was reported unharmed in the aftermath of the crash. This detail has been consistently noted across all reports.
