
A house fire in Gallatin on Thursday morning has prompted the evacuation of residents in a local subdivision, as reported by WSMV4. The Gallatin Police Department confirmed that their officers were on the scene at Mackinac Drive, working with other emergency teams. A spokesperson for the department stated, "Residents in the immediate area have been evacuated, and there is no danger to the public at this time."
The incident escalated to a full-blown explosion as detailed by NewsChannel5, which also occurred on Mackinac Drive, officers and fire crews responded but fortunately, none of the homes were reportedly occupied at the time of the blast a person who was present during the explosion was hospitalized with burn injuries, the cause of the explosion is not yet known.
In a related event from the same neighborhood, at least one individual suffered injuries as a result of a home explosion around 10:30 a.m., near Linn Cove Court, which was noted by News 2. Their condition has yet to be disclosed; however, several other homes have been damaged due to the explosion, and Gallatin police also reiterated the lack of immediate danger to the public.
