Drivers traveling through the northern part of Hollywood should prepare for upcoming roadwork on North 66 Terrace, just north of Johnson Street. Beginning June 30 and continuing through August 15, construction crews will be on site daily for extensive infrastructure upgrades. The project includes the installation of swales, underground piping, and catch basins to significantly improve the area’s drainage system. Expect construction zones and possible delays in the area during this time.
Residents and commuters can expect the sounds of heavy machinery and the sight of safety vests from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, as crews carry out the daily work. According to the City of Hollywood’s official announcement, while officials anticipate only “minimal” slowdowns, drivers should still be prepared for possible delays. Crews have committed to implementing thoughtful traffic control measures to reduce disruptions throughout the construction period.
The city is advising motorists to plan ahead, as safety protocols may lead to periodic lane closures along North 66 Terrace. Frequent travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes or adjust their travel schedules to avoid potential delays.
