
A fatal collision that occurred on June 23 in Boring, involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a commercial box truck, has sparked an investigation by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The accident, which took the life of 40-year-old motorcycle rider Jeremy Alexander Taylor of Canby, happened near the intersection of SE Orient Drive and SE Joette Drive.
Promptly responding to the incident just before 3 PM, deputies discovered Taylor on the ground receiving CPR from bystanders, Clackamas Fire and Sandy Police personnel quickly stepped in to continue the resuscitative efforts, however, Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:03 PM thereafter Oregon State Police troopers and CCSO deputies began their inquiry, interviewing the truck driver and witnesses and performing a thorough safety check of the truck; they also had the backup of a Clackamas County Medical Examiner and a Deputy District Attorney specializing in vehicular major crimes and in addition, Criminal Forensic and Reconstruction Technicians (CRAFT) were summoned to document and scrutinize the scene meticulously.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the case remains open, with no criminal charges filed against the truck driver until now; the driver is said to cooperate with the investigation fully. The initial assessments suggest that neither speed nor intoxication was a contributing factor in the tragic event that unfolded on that Monday afternoon.
