
An investigation is currently underway following the tragic death of a two-year-old boy who went missing on Saturday morning in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest before being found deceased hours later. According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, the child was initially reported missing in the remote Christmas Meadows area early on Saturday, as reported by FOX 13.
Upon discovery, the toddler was quickly transported to a hospital in Wyoming by air ambulance. Officials later transferred him to a Salt Lake area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to ABC4. Concurrently, a family member was also taken to the hospital for a separate medical concern, one that is not related to the child's disappearance.
Details concerning the nature of the child’s disappearance and the cause of death have not been publicized, as the incident remains under investigation.
