To help prevent package thefts, the police recommend enabling delivery notifications and real-time tracking, scheduling deliveries when someone is home, and asking for packages to be placed out of plain sight. They also suggest installing visible surveillance cameras and using weatherproof, secure lockboxes accessible only to the homeowner and delivery personnel.
The police also encourage residents to ask a trusted neighbor to collect packages if they are not home. Anyone with information about the theft or suspicious activity is asked to contact the Lebanon Police dispatch at 615-444-2323.
