An overnight shooting in Southeast Shelby County left a man critically injured, with multiple gunshot wounds. According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call around 1:07 a.m. at the 4900 block of Whitfall Cove North where they found the victim lying on the ground. As reported by Action News 5, emergency measures were taken to stabilize the man before he was rushed to a local hospital. The Shelby County Fire personnel arrived shortly thereafter, to assist with life-saving efforts.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was immediately transported to Regional One Hospital, entering the fray against death in critical condition, according to WREG News. While the authorities have not released suspect information, yet, the investigation remains active.
