Margate is getting ready for a full day of Independence Day fun. The city has announced its Fourth of July plans, with events starting in the morning and ending with a big fireworks show at night. Everyone in Margate—and visitors from around Broward County—are invited to join the celebration. According to the official announcement on the city's website, the celebrations kick off bright and early with a parade at 9 a.m., starting on Margate Boulevard and marching its way down to the City Hall roundabout.
Community members have the opportunity to take part in a festive, patriotic parade. Participants are encouraged to dress in red, white, and blue and enjoy the cheers of spectators along the route. The event is open to local groups, who must register in advance at margatefl.com/Registration. Early registration is recommended, as space is limited.
For those who prefer a later start, Calypso Cove is hosting an afternoon pool party from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will feature a live DJ and caricature artists offering fun, personalized sketches. Regular admission prices apply, and guests are encouraged to bring cash for extras, as detailed by the City of Margate announcement.
As evening falls, the celebration moves to the intersection of State Road 7 and Margate Boulevard. The festivities will include food trucks, bounce houses for children and the young at heart, and live entertainment throughout the night. The event will conclude with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
