A boating incident off the coast of Miami Beach yesterday led to a swift response from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews after a vessel capsized in the water. The overturned boat, sighted near 10300 Collins Avenue, was caught on camera by Chopper 6, its hull exposed and bobbing just off the shoreline, as reported by NBC Miami.
Initial response efforts included the deployment of divers who scoured the area surrounding the submerged boat, a standard precautionary step in such water emergencies, divers checked the immediate area for any additional persons or potential hazards that may have been posed by the sunken vessel, their search concluded without further incident, as per the information provided by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, one individual, who was on board the boat when it overturned, was safely pulled from the water and was being evaluated following the ordeal.
Further down the coast, near the Haulover Inlet, another incident involving an overturned boat prompted action from fire rescue teams. The episode unfolded close to the Haulover Marine Center with rescue units staging their operation within Haulover Park. This event paralleled the earlier account with the reported rescue of a lone boat occupant surfacing from the capsized watercraft.
Citing the critical nature of these occurrences, an MDFR spokesperson shared with Local 10, "Divers were deployed to search the perimeter of the vessel’s location out of precaution." There has been no release of further details about the cause of the incidents or the condition of the rescued individual. Authorities have not provided any additional information, emphasizing the often uncertain and developing nature of such maritime accidents.
