The Murfreesboro Police Department has announced an upcoming blood drive event that's dedicated to honoring local servicemen and women. In partnership with the American Red Cross, the "2024 Rutherford County Honor the Badges Blood Drive" is set to take place inside the community room of the Murfreesboro Police Department, located at 1004 N. Highland Avenue.
Slated for Thursday, from noon to 6:00 p.m., the drive is not just a nod to the badges worn by the community's protectors but a genuine effort to procure life-saving donations that could benefit the very people who may one day come to your rescue, or the person next to you. According to a social media post from the Murfreesboro TN Police Department, all donors will receive a $15 eGift Card as an expression of gratitude for their contribution.
Those interested in donating are urged to schedule an appointment prior to the event to help manage the flow of donors and ensure a smooth process. Appointments can be made via the Red Cross website by entering the sponsor code "RutherfordBOB" or by scanning the QR code featured on event flyers.
