Voters in Newton County should be aware of a proposed change to a polling location. The Newton County Board of Elections and Registration plans to move the Buck Creek Precinct from its current site at 7097 Highway 212 in Covington, GA, to Newton County Fire Rescue Station No. 14. The proposed change is scheduled for consideration at a public meeting on Monday next week at 4 p.m, as per the Newton County release.
This change is being proposed under O.C.G.A. § 21-2-265 (a) and, if approved, would take effect before the General Election on November 4.
