
Yesterday morning, an incident at an East Side gas station in San Antonio resulted in one death and one injury. The San Antonio Police Department reported the shooting occurred around 3 a.m. at the intersection of South WW White Road and Rigsby Avenue, where a 33-year-old man was fatally shot in his vehicle and a woman was wounded in the leg, as reported by KTSA.
Authorities described the sequence of events, noting that the victim's car was followed to the station and, upon parking at a pump, two individuals exited another vehicle and opened fire. The two suspects have not been apprehended and were last seen escaping in a burgundy-colored SUV. The woman, who also was 33, was rushed to a local hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to information provided by KSAT.
The man was struck by multiple gunshots and pronounced dead at the scene. The woman, who was inside the victim's car at the time of the shooting, is expected to recover, as per the SAPD. The motives and circumstances leading up to the violent encounter are still under investigation, with no further details on the suspects being released beyond their vehicle's description.
