
An argument in Clarksville last night ended with shots fired and one man injured. WKRN detailed the situation, reporting that officers who were in the area of Heritage Pointe Circle and Abby Creek Drive, responding to calls about a person with an outstanding warrant, heard a gunshot at around 11 p.m.
The officers were investigating on Abby Creek Drive when they heard a gunshot to swiftly located a vehicle containing two men, who had been disputing. According to the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), the passenger in the front seat had a gunshot wound to his leg. Not much is known about the individual's current status after being flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as reported by Clarksville Online.
The relationship between the two male individuals is still unclear. The CPD has described the incident as "isolated," with no further threat to the general public. While the Fox17 report reiterates much of the same details, authorities are still piecing together the events and canvassing the area for additional information. While updates of the victim’s condition have yet to be broadcasted, law enforcement continues to vigorously investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
