As the summer sun stakes its claim on the skies above Palm Beach County, residents are invited to partake in the celebration of National Park and Recreation Month in July, an initiative recognizing the essential role that parks and recreation play in fostering robust, dynamic communities ever since its inception in 1985. In collaboration with Palm Beach County Golf, the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department is kicking off an engaging community sticker campaign, meant to connect individuals through the shared love of the outdoors and the game of golf, as per the county's official website.

From the first of July through the end of the month, golfers can add a little flair to their game by collecting a free campaign sticker at the pro shops of county-operated golf courses which include Osprey Point, Okeeheelee, Park Ridge, and John Prince Golf Learning Center, it should be noted however that Southwinds Golf Course will remain closed for renovations during this time. According to an announcement on Palm Beach County's official newsroom, to participate, residents are encouraged to share their experiences by posting a photo wearing the sticker on Facebook or Instagram, including the hashtags #BuildTogetherPlayTogether and #pbcgolf, and tagging Palm Beach County Golf in the process.

The campaign, not content with just fostering community spirit, also comes with an incentive: Each week in July, a participant will be selected to win a PBC Golf Swag Bag. The promotional video for this event can be viewed on YouTube, giving further insight into the campaign and how to join in.

Residents with inquiries about the sticker campaign or any other related activities during National Park and Recreation Month can reach out directly to Parks Coordinator Tevin Ali via email at [email protected], ensuring that any questions or concerns are addressed.
