
A Palm Beach County grand jury has formally charged a local woman with capital murder following the tragic death of her young daughter. The suspect, identified as Naikishia Lamaria Williams, is facing serious allegations for the premeditated killing of 7-year-old Nia Williams, with an indictment claiming blunt trauma to the abdomen as the cause of death. The unfortunate incident prompting the indictment occurred on April 28, with first responders arriving at a residence on West 15th Street in Riviera Beach after receiving reports of an unresponsive child. Nia Williams was later pronounced dead at St. Mary's Medical Center. As details emerged, authorities were able to quickly determine that the death was a homicide, subsequently arresting and charging Naikishia Williams in connection with her daughter's murder.
