Residents grappling with the aftermath of the Cody Fire have new resources at their disposal to aid in their recovery efforts. According to an official statement released by Pinal County, waste containers have been set up at two designated locations in the Oracle area as of Wednesday, for individuals needing to discard fire-damaged materials. These containers are accessible at Cody Loop Road, south of Mt. Lemmon Highway, according to the Pinal County reports.
The second site for waste container usage is located at the Mt. Lemmon Road curve, just west of the Campo Bonito Community. The provided coordinates for these locations are to ensure residents can easily find to dispose of their debris: 32°35'32.3"N 110°43'53.7"W and 32°33'50.4"N 110°42'22.8"W, respectively.
In addition to waste disposal efforts, the county has also made sandbags available to those affected by the fire. Pinal County's Public Works Maintenance Facility, situated at 1410 N. Justice Dr. in Oracle, is distributing sandbags to help residents prepare for potential flood risks following the fire.
The effort to supply over 1,000 sandbags was a collaborative one, with contributions from the U.S. Forest Service, the Arizona State DFFM Wildland Firefighter Team, and the Pinal County Public Works Oracle Maintenance Crew. Residents interested in obtaining sandbags can visit the maintenance facility, according to Pinal County's announcement.
