Their Community Development Resource Agency's Building Services Division has just activated a new online program, SolarAPP+, which promises to green-light residential solar projects quickly. SolarAPP+ allows licensed contractors to almost instantly secure permits for qualifying residential rooftop solar installations. By automating checks against building, electrical, and fire safety codes, the system is supposed to significantly reduce the need for traditional plan checks.
