An assistant district attorney from Rutherford County, Tennessee, is currently facing serious charges following allegations of multiple assaults against a woman. According to reports released by various local news outlets, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) agents commenced an inquiry yesterday into claims of domestic and aggravated assault purported to have been committed by Quinn Rodriguez, the ADA in question.
In a statement obtained by WSMV, it was revealed that Rodriguez is accused not only of threatening the victim but also of using a gun to do so. He allegedly brandished the firearm and hit the woman with it during one of the incidents. The assistant district attorney was arrested later that afternoon, following the issuance of the charges against him.
Amid the unfolding events, FOX 17 reported that Rodriguez faces two counts of Domestic Assault and two counts of Aggravated Assault. He was taken into custody by TBI agents and subsequently booked into Rutherford County Jail, with bond set at the sum of $10,000.
Additional details provided by WKRN clarified the disturbances further, specifying that Rodriguez, who is 34 years old, is being charged for actions involving the handling and utilizing of a gun in a threatening manner towards the woman. The alleged assaults took place within the jurisdiction of the 16th judicial district, which encompasses both Rutherford and Cannon Counties.
