
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a social media update on their ongoing search for Roy Whited, a 64-year-old Sparta resident who has been missing for over a year. Whited was last seen on May 3, 2024, and there have been no significant leads in his disappearance to date.
On a post marked #MissingMonday, TBI described Roy as being 5'11" tall, weighing 175 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was reportedly last seen in the vicinity of the Lovejoy Road area in Sparta. In an effort to broadly publicize the search, the bureau put out a call to action, asking anyone with information to come forward quickly and place a call to the White County Sheriff's Office at 931-703-8957 or to their hotline at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
The White County Sheriff's Office has been actively seeking assistance from the public. Despite their efforts, details surrounding Whited's whereabouts remain scarce. "If you have seen Roy or have information regarding his whereabouts, please contact us," urged the Sheriff's Office in the TBI's alert.
Community response to the TBI's post on Whited has shown concern and shared resolve, with locals spreading the message in hopes of uncovering information that may lead to his return.
