McCambridge, who resides on the 900 block of Kane Street, was slapped with 14 counts comprising both Class X felony and Class 2 felony charges, signaling the serious nature of the allegations against him.
Specifically, the accused is charged with two counts of Child Pornography Disseminating Moving Depiction, two counts of reproducing such content, and ten counts of possession, his activities allegedly spanning from November 8, 2024, to June 16, 2025. The charges were levied after the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit initiated a thorough investigation into these concerns. Despite prosecutors' recommendation for pretrial detention, a judge at a first-appearance court opted against incarcerating McCambridge, setting him free under several strict conditions.
