The City of Tamarac has snagged a Silver Telly Award for their "Tamagram Business Feature – Savvy Sliders" video, a move that puts them in league with giants such as Pixar Animation Studios and ESPN. The award, which acknowledges outstanding work in video and television across various platforms, spotlighted the city's production in the Social Video – General: Food & Beverage category during the 46th Annual Telly Awards. According to a city announcement, the Telly Awards Judging Council, carrying names from Roku to BBDO New York, recognized the video among this year's elaborate pool of over 13,000 global entries.
"'Tamagram Business Feature – Savvy Sliders' is part of the City’s ongoing effort to spotlight local businesses and promote economic development through engaging and accessible video storytelling," Joanna Johnson, the City’s Communications and Marketing Manager, explained in the official announcement. The focus of the video was Savvy Sliders, a burgeoning restaurant franchise that's now a feature of Tamarac's dining scene.
Tamarac’s “Tamagram Business Feature” earned recognition at this year’s Telly Awards, standing out among big names like LinkedIn and MTW Entertainment Studios. The video, which highlights local franchise Savvy Sliders, underscores the value of small businesses and the importance of community storytelling.
The Telly Awards Council has expanded its viewfinder to encompass a diverse palette of storytelling that spans from heart-warming animations by Pixar to the local business angles pursued by cities like Tamarac. "We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from the Telly Awards. This video is the first in a series that has quickly gained popularity among our residents and the business community," Johnson told Tamarac officials, as noted by the City of Tamarac website.
