The wreck has taken down power lines and a telephone pole, causing closures and power outages. According to a social media post from the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department, the incident led to Broad Street's closure, both inbound and outbound, while crews work on power restoration and debris clearance.
The situation has necessitated the diversion of traffic onto alternative routes such as Memorial Blvd and Old Fort Pkwy from NW Broad St at the Bridge over Broad area, the Fire Rescue Department's update also detailed that one lane of travel is open for Medical Center Pkwy from West College Street toward Memorial Blvd, the two through lanes of Medical Center from Memorial Blvd toward W. College are however open being managed by officers on scene since the traffic lights are still down. Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and seek alternate routes to avoid the affected area.
