The University of Central Florida (UCF) has switched up the naming game once again for its football stadium, opting to rename the FBC Mortgage Stadium to the Acrisure Bounce House. This change, officially ratified today by UCF's Board of Trustees, reintroduces the fan-favorite moniker "Bounce House" into the stadium's title, a nod to the lively energy fans bring to game days. According to ClickOrlando, the decision follows Acrisure's acquisition of FBC Mortgage in April 2024, and continues an existing naming and sponsorship agreement.
UCF's Vice President and Director of Athletics, Terry Mohajir, shared his enthusiasm for the name change: "Since the beginning of our partnership, the stadium has become an iconic symbol of the UCF football experience, and we’re excited to continue that tradition with Acrisure." Mohajir continued, telling WFTV, "The Bounce House is a place of pride, energy, and unforgettable moments, and this new name reflects both our vibrant identity and a dynamic, forward-thinking partner." The stadium, renowned for its vibrant game-day atmosphere, has been home to the UCF Knights since its opening in 2007.
The financial details behind the name change remain unchanged from the original 10-year, $19.5-million agreement signed in 2022. The annual rights fee of $1.5 million is due to escalate, with increments leading up to $3 million in the final two years, according to the data shared during the meeting. UCF's football stadium, now known as the Acrisure Bounce House, has undergone various name changes since its inauguration, beginning as the Bright House Networks Stadium and later referred to as Spectrum Stadium before adopting its current title.
