
A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with a vehicular hijacking and the aggravated battery of a 39-year-old man. According to the Chicago Police Department, the juvenile was apprehended on July 23, 2025, after he was identified as the individual who allegedly used a firearm during the commission of the crime.
The incident occurred on June 10, 2025, in the 1700 block of W. Peterson, where the juvenile is accused of taking a vehicle and personal belongings from the victim. In the course of the robbery, the suspect also allegedly inflicted serious injuries on the victim using force. He is facing one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and another for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
Further details of the case remain limited as the authorities have not released any additional information at this stage. The Chicago Police Department's report highlights that the offender was charged after being connected to the crime that took place in the city's 20th District. The nature of the juvenile's involvement, as well as the circumstances leading up to his identification and arrest, have not been disclosed.
