A recent traffic accident in Vista has resulted in the tragic loss of a young driver. Yesterday, Vista Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a collision scene on the 700 block of Shadowridge Drive, where a 23-year-old driver, the sole occupant of the sedan, had fatally crashed into a tree. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred at about 3:48 PM, sending the driver to the hospital by ambulance, where they later died from their injuries.
The report states that the driver was heading eastbound before entering the median and colliding with the tree. The ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being conducted by the Vista Sheriff's Station Traffic Unit and the Medical Examiner's Office, as they work to piece together the moments leading up to the collision.
