Mount Juliet Police responded to an alert about an armed individual who was seen walking through a parking lot and looking into a business window at 545 N Mt. Juliet Rd in Tennessee earlier this afternoon, as reported by the Mt. Juliet Police's X post. The person, described as a tall, thin Black male wearing blue jeans and a hooded sweatshirt, was suspected of carrying a handgun and was reportedly spotted around five minutes before the call was made to the authorities.

Despite a thorough search of nearby businesses, daycares, and other areas, the person has not been found. No new witnesses have come forward, and no surveillance footage has been discovered to help the investigation. Mt. Juliet Police are asking anyone with information to call 615-754-2550.

In a separate incident, a man was found shot in the Cooper-Young neighborhood of Memphis, this shooting, however, as FOX13 Memphis details, apparently occurred a day earlier, with authorities still trying to pinpoint the location of the incident; the injuries sustained by the man are not believed to be life-threatening.

Adding to the coverage of the Memphis incident, WREG reports that the shooting happened Thursday and was only reported on Friday morning at the intersection of Cooper Street and Young Avenue where emergency services, including police and fire crews, responded to the call and the victim was taken to a hospital in a non-critical condition as the Memphis Police are currently working to determine the exact location where the shooting occurred.
