According to a statement obtained by FOX 32 Chicago, Alderman Andre Vasquez of the 40th Ward reported that two armed individuals wearing masks tried to quickly and directly rob the fast food joint on Saturday afternoon. The exact location of the incident was the McDonald's at 4844 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square.
Chicago police explained that the assailants demanded property during the attempted heist, but ultimately did not succeed in their endeavor. The incident, which unfolded at around 3:45 p.m., fortunately resulted in no injuries. Area detectives have since been tasked to delve into the investigation of the incident, as noted in the ABC 7 Chicago report.
