Broward Health's IT security director, Kevin Christopher Kull, is facing grave charges after being arrested on counts related to child pornography. Kull, 41, has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child porn and one count of computer pornography. As reported by the Miami Herald, this comes following the discovery of over 10,000 files labeled as "child erotica" found in his possession.
According to a CBS News Miami report, these findings occurred after an unidentified associate, preparing Kull's home for sale, stumbled across multiple storage devices with disturbing content. This includes a large number of images featuring young girls between the ages of 5 and 12 in sexually suggestive positions.
In a statement from Broward Health, relayed through the Miami Herald, a spokesperson expressed the organization's stance: "We are aware of and appalled by the allegations made against Mr. Kull," Broward Health stated. "The alleged behavior is abhorrent and in direct conflict with our values." The public health network has suspended Kull and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.
Further inquiry into the matter by the authorities uncovered additional incriminating evidence. The Miami Herald reported that approximately 178 files of animated child porn were also found among the confiscated media. Arrest documents reveal that Kull had also taken videos from a concealed position of children at a public pool and owned a sex doll of alarming proportions. During his arrest, police discovered a severely damaged laptop in Kull's vehicle, evidently subjected to blunt force, its hard drives missing.
As of the latest report, Kull was being held at the Broward County Main Jail, with the case continuing to develop. Broward Health stated it remains focused on supporting those affected and ensuring transparency as the legal process proceeds.
