
In a recent incident that rattled the Roseland community, a 2-year-old French Bulldog named Milo became the unexpected victim of an armed robbery. According to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department, the crime took place on July 16, 2025, at approximately 7:05pm near 11200 S. Union Avenue, where Milo was forcibly taken away from his owner.
The alert provided by the Area Two Detectives describes a violent encounter in which Milo's owner was assaulted by two masked individuals armed and seeking to steal the dog. Both assailants were wearing ski masks, and they struck the victim multiple times during the robbery. The brutality of the attack left the owner on the ground and allowed the perpetrators to flee with Milo.
Authorities are currently looking for leads and request that residents remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, particularly any information that could lead to Milo's safe return. Community members can assist in the investigation by being mindful of their surroundings and keeping an eye out for Milo or anyone who might be associated with the crime.
