Chicago Police have charged 33-year-old Rickey Hill in connection with a vehicular hijacking and the armed robbery of a 45-year-old male which occurred last year. Hill, who resides on the 0-100 block of E. 110th Pl. in Chicago, has been hit with one felony count of vehicular hijacking and another for robbery, armed with a firearm, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs.
The arrest took place on the morning of July 3, 2025, at around 9:17 a.m. when Hill was apprehended in the 2600 block of S. California Ave; he was subsequently identified as the individual involved in the April 21, 2024 incident in the 10000 block of S. Edbrooke Ave in Chicago's 5th District, the details of which where Hill supposedly made away with another man's vehicle at gunpoint, continued to pose questions that data and time alone could answer
A detention hearing for Hill was scheduled for the Fourth of July at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. The Chicago Police Department has not released any additional information about the case or the circumstances leading up to the arrest; the brief news brief served only to announce justice's swift hand catching up to a man accused of wielding his iron grasp over a year ago.
