A string of violent robberies has the Harrison neighborhood on alert, as the Chicago Police Department warns residents of attackers targeting individuals in the early hours of the morning. The assailants, believed to be two male suspects, have been seen exiting a white Toyota Camry, assaulting their victims with fists and feet, and committing theft, according to a community alert issued by the police.
These incidents took place on the 200 block of S. Francisco Ave, the 900 block of N. Homan Ave, and the 3500 block of W. Grand Ave, all on July 8, 2025, within a span of just 40 minutes beginning at 5:00 a.m. In a particularly violent twist, the offenders in the last two reported incidents employed their vehicle as a weapon, striking victims who were riding bicycles at the time of the attack.
Descriptions of the offenders have been provided by the authorities: the first suspect is characterized as a male of African American /Hispanic ethnicity, between 5'08" and 5'10" in height, weighing approximately 190-210 lbs, and estimated to be in his early thirties. The second suspect is similarly described as a male of African American /Hispanic descent, slightly shorter, with black dreadlocks, and a darker complexion. The police urge vigilance and ask for the public’s help in identifying these individuals.
