According to the alert, there have been instances where the suspect or suspects have cut through screen windows and forcibly opened them to gain entry into homes, subsequently fleeing with stolen property. The recent incidents took place in the 7100 Block of South Yates, with the latest reported on July 12, 2025, around 10:30 PM.
The suspect in these cases is described as an unknown female, Black in race, last seen wearing blue shorts and a white shirt. Residents are being cautioned to stay vigilant, report any suspicious behavior immediately, and not to engage with potential assailants. Interestingly, the CPD suggests remembering any unique identifiers such as scars, limps, or dental peculiarities could aid in the suspect's apprehension.
Community members are also encouraged, as a preventive measure, to save and make copies of any video surveillance footage which might contribute to the investigation. In fact, the police underscore the importance of preserving such evidence for detectives working on these cases. Furthermore, anyone approached by witnesses should obtain their contact details in order to provide more comprehensive information to authorities.
