Chicago's favorite late-night spot, Redhot Ranch, is set to serve up its legendary hot dogs, burgers, and fries beyond the city limits. In a move that's sure to satiate the cravings of suburban night owls, the popular eatery is scheduled to open a new outpost in Skokie. NBC Chicago reported that owner Jeff Greenfield confirmed the expansion, revealing that their new location would be at Dempster Street and Skokie Boulevard, alongside Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy.

According to a statement obtained by Eater, Redhot Ranch will inhabit the space formerly taken by That Burger Joint. Greenfield expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Oberweis, particularly after their acquisition by Hoffmann Family of Companies last year following a bankruptcy scare. "We weren't thinking about expanding to the suburbs, but this situation just came up, and it was just such a wonderful deal," Greenfield said.

Fans of the brand can expect the same menu items they've always enjoyed, now complemented by a new Alaskan cod sandwich. Greenfield aims to open the Skokie location in early August and plans to maintain the same operating hours, from 10:30 a.m. to midnight daily. "Everything is going to be the same," Greenfield assured NBC Chicago, a statement sure to please those already familiar with the brand's fare.

Beyond just expanding locations, Greenfield hinted at the potential for future collaborations with other restaurants. Chicago has seen examples of this with Alinea and Wieners Circle, although, no joint food ventures have materialized from that pairing as of yet. "But now there is a possibility of more Redhot Ranches," Greenfield teased in a text conversation with Eater. Whether these will involve further mergers or simply additional Redhot Ranch outposts is still up in the air.
