Coral Springs is set to celebrate Caribbean culture this August with the annual International Dinner Dance, spotlighting Haiti’s vibrant heritage. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, at the Marriott Heron Bay, promising an evening filled with authentic Haitian cuisine, music, and cultural performances. According to an announcement from the City of Coral Springs yesterday, each year this fête turns the spotlight on a different country's traditions, engaging locals and visitors alike through a plethora of cultural offerings.

The City's Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee is spearheading the event with Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen as the Commission Liaison, who, according to a statement obtained by the City of Coral Springs, said, "Our International Dinner Dance is a chance to celebrate culture, community, and connection. Each year, we embrace the beauty of a new tradition, and this evening allows us to experience the richness of the world right here in Coral Springs. It’s always a joyful and memorable night for everyone who attends.”

Attendees can look forward to an evening of Haitian-inspired cuisine, complimentary dinner wine, and lively entertainment. The event will feature a bustling dance floor, an interactive photo booth, and an open invitation to wear traditional Haitian attire or clothing that reflects individual cultural heritage. Guests will have the opportunity to commemorate the night with keepsake photos captured throughout the evening.

Tickets for the cultural celebration are priced at $75, which includes dinner, wine, and access to the evening’s full lineup of festivities. Advance purchase is required, as tickets will not be available at the door. A cash bar will also be available for guests interested in beverages beyond the complimentary wine. For tickets and more information, visit CoralSprings.gov/DinnerDance, as detailed by the city's website.
