Deerfield Beach residents are invited to participate in a free household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, July 26. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bernard Adams Municipal Complex, located at 401 SW 4th Street. This is an opportunity for residents to safely dispose of items such as old paint, household cleaners, and other hazardous materials in an environmentally responsible way.
Those interested in participating must bring proof of residency, which can be a photo ID or a utility bill, to show they live within the Deerfield Beach limits, the City's regulations permit no waste from businesses, schools, or government entities as specified on the City of Deerfield Beach official notice, there's a chance for residents to declutter their garages or under-the-sink cabinets of any unwanted hazardous substances that have stayed past their welcome. The regular recycling services at the City’s Recycling Drop-Off Center will also be operating during the event to cater to general recycling needs.
