Reshad Jones, the former Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl safety, has found himself at the center of a multimillion-dollar embezzlement case. According to a Local 10 News report, Jones allegedly had $2.58 million stolen from his accounts over a period spanning from October 2019 to March 2024. The suspects in the case include Isaiah Williams, Jones’ former financial advisor, and Octavia Monique Graham, a 52-year-old woman from Dallas, Georgia.

Ft. Lauderdale police have accused Williams of misappropriating approximately $1.58 million through 133 wire transfers to settle charges on two of his American Express credit cards. These transfers reportedly funded a lifestyle of high-end travel, designer clothing, nightclub outings, and even child support payments. Moreover, Williams has yet to be arrested in connection with these allegations, according to court documents cited by the New York Post.

Graham, who turned herself in to authorities, faces charges including two counts of money laundering and one count of first-degree grand theft. As the New York Post reports, an additional $1.03 million was said to have been laundered from Jones’ account with Graham’s assistance. She has reportedly made numerous transfers to Williams via checks and Zelle transactions. Graham is currently being held on a $75,000 bond at the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Statements released by Jones' representatives, Chase Carlson and Jeff Sonn, highlight the gravity of the matter, “This is yet another troubling example of a professional athlete being exploited by a wealth management firm he trusted. In this case, the wrongdoer was a Vice President at one of the world’s largest financial institutions — Bank of America’s investment management division, Merrill Lynch. We have filed a lawsuit to hold Merrill Lynch accountable and are working to recover all damages our client has suffered," as obtained by Local 10 News. Bank of America, on the other hand, asserts having principles of prioritizing clients and protecting their assets for over a century.

Jones, aged 37, has decided to press charges in the case, and his legal team has filed a lawsuit with intentions to hold Merrill Lynch accountable for the seeming breach of trust—working to recover all damages suffered by Jones.
