
A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 40 West near Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage, Nashville, in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The WSMV reports that Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed the crash as a hit-and-run. The interstate was subsequently closed, causing traffic detours until the lanes were reopened around 6 a.m.

The hit-and-run vehicle is described as a gray vehicle according to WKRN. After the woman was struck, another vehicle hit her and remained on the scene, cooperating with law enforcement officials.
