Fort Lauderdale property owners are encouraged to apply by September 30 to take full advantage of the city's Lien Amnesty Program, which currently offers reductions of up to 90% on outstanding code enforcement liens. Starting October 1, the standard discount will decrease to 85%, while liens related to specific violations—such as nuisance, repeat offenses, noise disturbances, and vacation rental infractions—will be eligible for only a 50% reduction.
To qualify for the full 90% reduction through Fort Lauderdale’s Lien Amnesty Program, applications must be submitted before the end of September. After that, the discount will drop, with certain violations receiving significantly smaller reductions. Property owners can verify eligibility and apply online through the city’s official website, which also provides full program details and application instructions.
Fort Lauderdale officials are available to assist property owners with questions about the Lien Amnesty Program. For help with the application process or to determine whether a lien qualifies, residents can contact the city by phone at 954-828-8000 or via email at [email protected].
